Expression of RECK,MMP-2 and bcl-2 Protein in Gingival Tissue of Children with Gingival Tumor
Objective To investigate the expression of RECK,matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2),and B-lymphomato-ma-2 gene(bcl-2)proteins in the gingival tissue of children with gingival tumors. Methods 80 children with gingival tumors were selected as the study subjects, and all patients underwent surgical treatment.Tumor tissue and healthy gingival tissue adja-cent to the tumor were collected.Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of RECK,MMP-2,and bcl-2 proteins in the samples, and the expression of the above proteins in tumor tissue and healthy gingival tissue were compared;Fol-lowed up for 1 year to analyze the relationship between RECK,MMP-2,and bcl-2 protein expression and recurrence. Results The positive rate of RECK in tumor tissue was 36.25%,lower than 77.50%in healthy gingival tissue. The positive rates of MMP-2 and bcl-2 protein were 73.75%and 67.50%,respectively,higher than the control groups 18.75%and 22.50%,with statisti-cal significance(P<0.05);80 patients were followed up for 1 year after surgery, and a total of 33 cases experienced recurrence, with a recurrence rate of 41.25%(33/80);The positive rate of RECK in the recurrent group was 15.15%,lower than 51.06%in the non recurrent group. The positive rates of MMP-2 and bcl-2 protein were 90.91%and 93.94%,higher than 61.70%and 48.94%in the non recurrent group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion RECK,MMP-2,and bcl-2 proteins are expressed differently in the gingival tissue of children with gingival tumors. The positive expression rate of RECK is low, while the expression of MMP-2 and bcl-2 proteins is high.Their expression is closely related to recurrence, which can provide some guid-ance for improving early treatment work.
