Analysis of the Relationship Between Pathological Types,Ultrasound BI-RADS Grades and Ultrasonographic Manifestations in Breast Cancer Patients
Objective To analyze the relationship between the grading of BI-RADS,sonographic findings and pathologi-cal types in breast cancer patients. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the relevant data of 87 patients with breast masses(87 masses). All patients underwent ultrasound examination, and BI-RADS grading was performed. The nature of the masses was confirmed by puncture biopsy or postoperative pathological examination. The ultrasound diagnosis and pathological examination results were statistically analyzed. Results The ultrasound BI-RADS grading showed that out of 87 patients with masses,a total of 49 malignant lesions(grade 4a,4b,4c,and 5)and 38 benign lesions(grade 3)were detected. The pathological examination results showed that a total of 87 breast mass patients were detected, including 50 cases of malignant lesions, mainly including 31 cases of invasive ductal carcinoma,12 cases of ductal carcinoma in situ, and 7 cases of invasive micropapillary carci-noma;There were 37 cases of benign lesions, mainly including 23 cases of breast hyperplasia nodules,12 cases of fibroadenomas, and 2 cases of others.Using pathological examination as the"gold standard",the sensitivity of ultrasound BI-RADS grading exam-ination was 96.00%(48/50),specificity was 97.30%(36/37),and accuracy was 96.55%(84/87);The kappa test showed that the consistency between the ultrasound BI-RADS grading test results and the pathological examination results was excellent(kappa value=0.930,P=0.000);The proportion of malignant lesions with a diameter ≥2 cm,calcification, unclear boundaries, aspect ratio ≥1,gradual attenuation of posterior echo, and blood flow(PSV>20 cm/s,RI>0.70)was higher than that of benign le-sions,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of ultrasound BI-RADS grading and sonography can improve the qualitative diagnosis of breast masses, accurately determine the benign and malignant breast mas-ses,and then improve the detection accuracy of breast cancer, providing reliable basis for clinical practice.
