Effect of Radiotherapy Using Three-Dimensional vs Two-Dimensional Afterloading Tech-nique on Radiation Dose to Bladder,Sigmoid Colon and Rectum in Patients with Cervical Cancer
Objective To discuss the effect of radiotherapy using three-dimensional vs two-dimensional afterloading technique on radiation dose to bladder, sigmoid colon and rectum in patients with cervical cancer. Methods 55 patients with cer-vical cancer were divided into 2 groups according to post-loading treatment techniques:2D group(25 cases)and 3D group(30 ca-ses).All patients received intensity-modulated external radiotherapy and cisplatin synchronous chemotherapy,2D group received 2D post-loading radiotherapy, and 3D group received 3D post-loading radiotherapy.Clinical efficacy of the 2 groups was observed and compared.Rectal and bladder irradiation doses, acute adverse reactions to radiotherapy. Results The clinical efficacy rate of 3D group(96.67%)was higher than that of 2D group(80.00%)(P<0.05).The doses received to bladder and rectum after treatment in 3D group were lower than those in 2D group(P<0.05).The incidence rates of acute proctitis, cystitis and sigmoid-itis in the three-dimensional group were 76.67%,10.00%and 3.33%,respectively,lower than those in the two-dimensional group(96.00%,32.00%and 20.00%),P<0.05.Conclusion Compared with 2D posterior radiotherapy,3D posterior radio-therapy has better clinical therapeutic effect and lower dose to the dangerous organs of rectum and bladder,so as to reduce the a-cute adverse reactions after radiotherapy.
