Expression Levels of Serum CA125,CA1 99 and HE4 in Patients with Uterine Fibroid and Their Correlation with Postoperative Outcomes
Objective To explore the expression levels of serum carbohydrate antigen(CA)125,CA199 and human epi-didymal protein(HE)4 in patients with uterine fibroid and their correlation with postoperative outcomes. Methods A total of 93 patients with uterine fibroid undergoing laparoscopic myomectomy were enrolled. All underwent ultrasound examination at 12 months after surgery to observe the recurrence of uterine fibroid. The general clinical data of patients were collected. The expres-sion levels of serum CA125,CA199 and HE4 were detected before surgery and at 1 month after surgery. The influencing factors of recurrence were analyzed, and the evaluation value of serological indexes for postoperative recurrence was analyzed by receiver op-erating characteristic(ROC)curves. Results By the end of follow-up,there were 15 recurrence cases(16.13%)in the 93 pa-tients with uterine fibroid. There was no significant difference in age, body mass index, fibroid sites, delivery history and preopera-tive levels of serum CA1 99,CA1 25 and HE4 between recurrence group and non-recurrence group(P>0.05).The proportions of the maximum fibroid diameter>10cm,number of multiple fibroids and menarche age ≤13 years in recurrence group were higher than those in non-recurrence group(P<0.05),and levels of serum CA199,CA125 and HE4 were higher than those in non-recur-rence group at 1 month after surgery(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that maximum fibroid diameter and levels of serum CA199,CA125 and HE4 at 1 month after surgery were independent influencing factors of postoperative recurrence in pa-tients with uterine fibroid(OR=6.334,7.486,7.345,8.423,P<0.05).The results of ROC curves analysis showed that AUC values of serum CA199,CA125 and HE4 at 1 month after surgery for evaluating postoperative recurrence were 0.834,0.836 and 0.846,respectively.Conclusion The expression levels of serum CA125,CA199 and HE4 are correlated with postoperative recur-rence in patients with uterine fibroid, which can be applied as auxiliary evaluation indexes for postoperative outcomes.
