The Expression Level of TENM3 in Gastric Cancer Tissues and Its Correlation with Prognosis
Objective To analyze the level of Teneurin transmembrane protein 3(TENM3)in gastric cancer tissues and its correlation with prognosis. Methods Clinical data of 42 patients with gastric cancer were collected. The level of TENM3 in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues was compared to analyze the correlation between TENM3 and poor prognosis of patients.Re-sults The level of TENM3 in gastric cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues, with statistical signifi-cance(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in TENM3 level between different sexes(P>0.05).Patients aged ≥ 60 years,TNM stage Ⅲ+Ⅳ,tumor diameter≥5 cm,lymph node metastasis, tissue type, depth of invasion and deep muscle layer were significantly increased, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The level of TENM3 in the poor prognosis group(1.54±0.29)was significantly higher than that in the good prognosis group(1.10±0.35)(t=2.909,P=0.006).There was a signifi-cant positive correlation between poor prognosis and TENM3(γ=0.428,P=0.005).The critical value of TENM3 was 1.395,which was greater than the critical value to predict poor prognosis. The AUC area under the subject operating characteristic curve was 0.868,the sensitivity was 0.833,and the specificity was 0.861,indicating good predictive efficacy. Conclusion The expres-sion level of TENM3 in gastric cancer tissues is significantly increased, which is related to patient age,TNM stage, tumor diame-ter,lymph node metastasis, tissue type, depth of invasion and poor prognosis.TENM3 level has certain suggestive significance for poor prognosis of gastric cancer.
