Correlation Between the Expression of EGR1,AR,H3K4me3 and Clinicopathological Characteristics and Prognosis in Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Objective To investigate the correlation between the expression of early growth response gene 1(EGR1),androgen receptor(AR),and histone H3 fourth lysine trimethylation(H3K4me3)in triple negative breast cancer tissues and their clinicopathological features and prognosis.Methods The clinical data of 89 patients with triple-negative breast cancer were retro-spectively analyzed.All patients underwent surgical treatment.The expression of EGR1,AR and H3K4me3 in tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues were measured by immunohistochemical staining.To analyze the relationship between EGR1,AR,H3K4me3 expression and its clinicopathology,and to analyze the relationship between EGR1,AR,H3K4me3 expression and prog-nosis.Results The positive expression rate of EGR1 and AR in tumor tissues was lower than that in the control group,and the positive expression rate of H3K4me3 was higher than that in control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).In patients with positive expression of EGR1 and positive expression of AR,the proportion of clinical stage Ⅰ~Ⅱ,no lymph node metastasis and high differentiation was higher than that in patients with negative expression of EGR1 and negative expression of AR,and the proportion of clinical stage Ⅲ,lymph node metastasis and low differentiation in patients with positive expression of H3K4me3 was higher than that in patients with negative expression of H3K4me3.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 1 year of follow-up,36 of 89 patients had recurrence and metastasis,the incidence was 40.45%(36/89).The positive expression rate of EGR1 and AR in the relapsing and metastasis group was lower than that in the non-relapsing and metastasis group,and the positive expression rate of H3K4me3 was higher than that in the non-relapsing and metastasis group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion EGR1 and AR are mostly negative expression in triple-negative breast cancer,while H3K4me3 is mainly positive expression.The expressions of all three are closely related to clinical stage,lymph node metastasis and differentiation de-gree,which may be a new target for clinical treatment.
