Clinical Efficacy of Low Temperature Plasma Radiofrequency Ablation for Early Glottic Laryngeal Cancer and Its Effect on Serum Levels of VEGF,MMP-9 and NO
Objective To investigate the value of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation(RFA)in the treat-ment of early glottic carcinoma(GC).Methods 98 patients with early GC were randomly divided into the control group(n=47)and the observation group(n=51).The control group was treated with conventional laryngectomy, and the observation group was treated with low temperature plasma RFA.The perioperative indexes, curative effect, complication rate and recurrence rate of the 2 groups were analyzed. The levels of voice acoustics(amplitude perturbation, fundamental frequency perturbation, harmonic noise ratio),serum matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and nitric oxide(NO)in the 2 groups were compared before and 3 months after surgery. Results The follow-up was ended in September 2023,and 1 case of the control group was lost to follow-up,1 case did not comply, and 45 cases were finally included. In the observation group,1 case dropped out,1 case was lost to follow-up,and 49 cases were finally included. There was no significant difference in the total effec-tive rate and recurrence rate between the 2 groups(P>0.05).The operation time, wound epithelialization time and hospital stay of the control group were longer than that of the observation group, and the amount of intraoperative blood loss was higher than that of the observation group(P<0.05).3 months after operation, the amplitude disturbance and fundamental frequency disturbance in 2 groups were lower than before operation, and the harmonic noise ratio was higher than before operation. The harmonic noise ratio of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the fundamental frequency and amplitude perturbation were lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The serum values of MMP-9,VEGF and NO in the 2 groups were lower than those before surgery 3 months after operation, and the above serum factors in the observation group were lower than those in con-trol group(P<0.05).The complication rate of the control group was 20.00%,which was higher than that of the observation group 4.08%(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of early GC,low temperature plasma RFA can optimize perioperative in-dexes,improve serum MMP-9,VEGF and NO levels, promote voice acoustic recovery, and reduce the risk of complications.
