The Effect of 5-amino-ketovalerate Photodynamic Therapy Combined with Imiquimote on Skin Basal Cell Carcinoma and Serum Soluble Fas and FasL Levels
Objective To explore the effect of 5-amino-ketovalerate photodynamic therapy combined with imiquimote on skin basal cell carcinoma and serum soluble Fas and FasL levels. Methods A total of 96 patients with skin basal cell carcinoma were enrolled.According to random number table method, they were divided into combination group(48 cases)and the control group(48 cases). The control group was treated with 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy, while combination group was additionally treated with imiquimod for 6 weeks. The clinical curative effect, wound healing and incidence of adverse reactions af-ter treatment, scores of generic quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)and levels of serum soluble Fas and FasL before and after treatment were compared between the 2 groups. Results After treatment, total response rate and wound healing rate in combina-tion group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,GQOLI-74 scores were increased in both groups, which were higher in combination group than the control group(P<0.05),and levels of serum soluble Fas and FasL were decreased, which were lower in combination group than the control group(P<0.05).During treatment, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the 2 groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy alone, clinical curative effect of 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy combined with imiquimod is more significant in patients with skin basal cell carcinoma, which can reduce levels of serum soluble Fas and FasL,and improve quality of life.
