Expression and Significance of MIP-1α and S-TK1 in Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma Patients
Objective To investigate the expression relationship and significance of MIP-1α and S-TK1 in differentiated thyroid carcinoma patients. Methods 86 patients with differentiated thyroid cancer were selected as the observation group, and the cancer tissues and adjacent tissues(more than 2 cm away from the cancer tissue)were collected during the operation. At the same time,30 normal healthy people were selected as the control group. The serum levels of MIP-1α and S-TK1 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The protein expressions of MIP-1α and S-TK1 in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining. The expression and diagnostic value of serum MIP-1α and S-TK1 in differentiated thy-roid carcinoma were analyzed. Results The serum levels of MIP-1α and S-TK1 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The positive expressions of MIP-1α and S-TK1 proteins in cancer tissues were higher than those in adjacent tissues(P<0.05).Taking the mean level of MIP-1α and S-TK1 as the critical value,MIP-1α≥71.16 ng/L was in-cluded in the high expression group, otherwise was included in the low expression group;Patients with S-TK1≥6.59 pmol/L were included in the high expression group, otherwise were included in the low expression group. There were significant differences in TNM stage and lymph node metastasis between the high expression group and the low expression group of serum MIP-1α and S-TK1(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum MIP-1α level was positively correlated with S-TK1 level in pa-tients with differentiated thyroid cancer(γ=0.645,P=0.000).The AUC(OR)of serum MIP-1α,S-TK1 and combined detection were 0.853(0.821~0.889),0.817(0.758~0.736)and 0.913(0.903~0.961),respectively,and the combined detection val-ue was higher than that of single detection(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum MIP-1α and S-TK1 are highly expressed in differenti-ated thyroid carcinoma patients, and they are positively correlated.Combined detection is helpful to improve the diagnostic value of differentiated thyroid carcinoma.
