Relationship Between Serum ESM-1,TuM2-PK and Severity of Disease and Prognosis of Patients with Rectal Cancer
Objective To investigate the serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK levels and their clinical significance in patients with rectal cancer. Methods A total of 120 patients with rectal cancer were selected.According to the TNM staging at admis-sion,they were divided into stage Ⅰ~Ⅱ(n=18),stage Ⅲ(n=58),and stage Ⅳ(n=44).According to the prognosis evalua-ted by the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors, they were divided into a good prognosis group(n=30)and a poor prog-nosis group(n=90).The levels of serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK in patients with different clinical stages were compared, and their correlation with clinical stages was analyzed. The levels of serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK in patients with different prognosis at ad-mission,after 1 cycle of chemotherapy, and after 2 cycles of chemotherapy were compared, and the prognostic value of combined detection indicators in patients with rectal cancer was analyzed. Results The levels of serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK in different stages were compared at admission,P<0.05;Serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK levels were proportional to TNM stage at admission(γ=0.782,P<0.001;γ=0.320,P<0.001);The serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK levels of patients with different prognosis were compared at admission,P>0.05.After1 and2 cycles of chemotherapy, the combined prediction of serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK levels was 0.926 and 0.991,the sensitivity was 94.4%and 98.9%,and the specificity was 83.3%and 93.3%.Conclusion Serum ESM-1 and TuM2-PK levels are correlated with clinical stage and prognosis, and combined detection can effectively predict the prognosis of patients with rectal cancer.
