Oral Radiotherapy Setup Error Differences Among Three Types of Mouth-gag
Objective To compare the setup error differences among three types of mouth-gag used in head and neck cancer radiotherapy.Methods Retrospective analyzed the setup error of 51 head and neck cancer radiotherapy patients,the pa-tients was classified into 3 groups(3D,stent,wooden)according to the mouth-gag types,the set up error(Tx、Ty、Tz、Rx、Ry、Rz)was recorded by the CBCT image guided technology,the comparison of the setup error differences among the 3 groups was accom-plished through the analysis of variance of setup error mean and standard error,and extreme value distribution situation.Results The setup mean error differences among 3 groups had no statistical significance(P＞0.05);the standard error differences among the 3 groups was only significantly different(P＜0.05)along the Rx direction,and the standard error of 3D group was smaller than stent and wooden groups,respectively;The extreme value statistic results showed that the extreme value frequency of stent group setup error along the Tyand Tz direction was over 20%,respectively,and was significantly bigger than 3D and wooden groups.Conclusion The setup error of 3D and wooden group is good than stent group with respect to standard deviation difference along the Rx direction and extreme value frequency statistical results.
