Influence Factors of Nosocomial Infection in Malignant Tumor Patients
Objective To analyze influencing factors of nosocomial infection in malignant tumor patients so as to provide the dependable basis for the prevention and controlling infection in hospital. Methods 1978 cases of malignant tumor patients were chosen as study objects in the retrospective investigation.Their clinical data were analyzed to find out influence factors of nosocomial infection. Results Out of 1978 malignant tumor patients, there were 216 cases with nosocomial infections, accounting for 10.92%.Respiratory tract was the main infected site, accounting for 52.53%.The univariate analysis revealed that age,nutri-tion,TNM classification, hospital stay, invasive operation, treatment methods were the influencing factors associated with the noso-comial infections. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis revealed that age greater than or equal to 65 years old, poor nutrition,Ⅲ to Ⅳ stages of TNM classification, hospital stay longer than or equal to 30 days, invasive operation, chemotherapy were found to be independent risk factors for nosocomial infections(P<0.05 and OR>1).Conclusion Risk factors of nosocomial infections are varied in malignant tumor patients.Targeted intervention of the preven-tion and control measures should be carried out to avoid the occurrence of nosocomial infections.
