外来词翻译方式的社会符号学分析——析《现代汉语词典》中的英语外来词

摘要
外来词像晴雨表一样,时刻反映着时代的变化和社会的发展。随着我国同世界各国经济、文化交往的日益频繁,汉语中出现许多外来词,尤以源自英语的外来词为多。正是凭借这些外来词不断引进新的概念和思想,从而丰富本族语,促进社会、经济和文化的发展。翻译是不同民族交往的桥梁,是外来词进入汉语的重要途径,只有在翻译中全面考虑外来词的音、形、义以及汉字本身的特性,才能对外来词作出较为准确的分析。社会符号学是最适宜指导翻译研究的学科,从该角度对外来词的翻译方式加以分析、比较,则既可给外来词的研究提供新的理论视角,又可为外来词的翻译实践提供多种选择方式。
Abstract
Due to international communication and exchange,a great multitude of English words have been borrowed into the Chinese language.With their help a large number of new concepts,things and cultures are introduced into China.English loanwords play a very important role in them,they penetrate into various fields and every aspect of daily life.Translation plays an important role in loanword borrowing.Only by considerating the loanwords sound,form,meaning and the nature of Chinese language in the process of translating,we can get a more accurate analysis.Social semiotics,from the point of which to analyze and compare the translation methods,would not only provide us a new theoretical perspective,but also provide kinds of alternatives in translating practice.
