Relationship of Serum Albumin and Circulation Function and Prognosis of Septic Children
Objective To investigate the relationship of serum albumin and circulation function and the prognosis of septic children. Methods A retrospective study was carried out on 92 septic children. These children were divided into 2 groups by the level of serum albumin: hypoalbuminemia group (albumin <35 g/L) and albumin - normalled group (albumin: 35 -50 g/L).The circulation function and the prognosis of both groups were analyzed. Results Compared with albumin - normal group [ 20/56 (35.71%) with dysfunction of circulation, and 8/56 (14.29% ) died],there were 23/36 cases(63.89% ) with dysfunction of circulation and 15/36 (41.67% ) died in hypoalbuminemia group. Signifiant difference was found between 2 groups. Conclusion The level of serum albumin is related with the circulation function and the prognosis of septic children.
