Objective To investigate the value and safety of sodium hyaluronate in complex trabeculectomy. Methods A total of 67 patients(81 eyes)with primary angleclosure glaucoma admitted to our hospital from February 2017 to June 2019 were randomly divided into the observation group(33 eyes),who received conventional compound trabeculectomy and sodium hyaluronate was applied during the operation, with a little sodium hyaluronate injected into the scleral flap and bulbar conjunctiva flap respectively. In the control group,34 patients(41 eyes)were treated with compound trabeculectomy.Intraocular pressure, anterior chamber and follicular formation were compared between the two groups at different time after operation. Results Intraocular pressure observation group at 1 wk after operation was higher than control group(t=7.725,P<0.05)(t=4.8148,P<0.05)(t=3.0186,P<0.05),1mon and 3mon were similar in IOP control, and there was no statistical difference(t=1.0998,P>0.05)(t=1.2331,P>0.05).The incidence of shallow anterior chamber in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(x2=8.3407,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in functional filtration bubble formation between the two groups(x2=2.4893,P>0.05).Conclusion The application of sodium hyaluronate is safe and effective in compound trabeculectomy,it can reduce the occurrence of early complications after glaucoma surgery and improve the success rate.
