Online Batch Tracking Technology for Multi-product Pipeline Network
The batch interface tracking system for multi-product pipeline network can achieve real-time tracking of batch location in the pipeline and prediction of arrival time based on real-time operating data, thereby assisting the station in accurately batch distribution and mixed oil cutting, which is of great significance for preventing oil quality accidents and improving station management efficiency. However, existing batch tracking methods are based on volume injection algorithms and are subject to interference from changes in hydrothermal parameters inside the pipelines, resulting in significant model errors. This paper extracts real-time data of flow density, dynamically identifies arrival batches and starts downstream pipeline batch calculation according to the density and changes of the valve conditions, builds a batch oil volume transition calculation model based on the conservation law of the oil volume inflow and outflow as well as corrects it by considering oil volume dynamic changes due to the mixed oil and temperature pressure, and finally develops a real-time tracking system for the batch interface of multi-product pipeline network. It conducts the test using batch transportation data of a certain multi-product refined oil pipeline network and the results indicated that the average error between batch tracking time and actual arrival time without taking in account the error correction is 10.87 minutes and the average error considering the error correction is 3.8 minutes, decreasing by 65%.The proposed system can meet the production needs of pipeline operation management, help improve the efficiency of batch interface tracking, and prevent oil quality accidents.
