Research progress on hydrolyzed polyacrylamide and xanthan gum seepage patterns
In the field of petroleum engineering, the study of seepage patterns of non-Newtonian fluids in porous media is regarded as a challenging topic due to the complexity and variability of their flow characteristics. The seepage behaviors of two common non-Newtonian fluids, partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM)and xanthan gum,in porous media were discussed in depth,so as to provide research methods and theoretical basis for other non-Newtonian fluids whose seepage patterns have not yet been clarified.
