Investigation on awareness level and knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and control among 621 migrant population in Shijingshan District of Beijing in 2023
Objective To study the awareness rate about prevention and control of tuberculosis among the migrant population in Shijingshan District of Beijing,and to provide scientific basis for more targeted health education and health promotion of prevention and control of tuberculosis.Methods A web-based questionnaire was used to survey 621 migrant population in Shijingshan District of Beijing,in March 2023,covering five key messages of tuberculosis prevention and control,and their general situation and knowledge of prevention and control of tuberculosis were analyzed.SPSS 19.0 was used to perform descriptive analysis.The x2 test and Logistic regression analysis of duality factors were used for ststistical analysis,and the difference P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results The overall awareness rate of key messages on prevention and control of tuberculosis among 621 migrant population in Shijingshan District of Beijing was 60.90%(4 160/6 831),the proportion of the subjects who knew all the messages was 3.39%(21/621),male and female were 58.93%(1 880/3 190)and 62.62%(2 280/3 641),respectively.The difference was statistically significant(x2=9.701,P=0.002).The older the age,the lower the awareness rate of TB prevention and control.Migrant population with higher level of education had higher awareness rate.Multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that the per capita household income and education level had an impact on the knowledge of TB prevention and control among the floating population.Conclusions The awareness rate of tuberculosis prevention and control knowledge among the migrant population in Shijingshan District of Beijing is low.It is necessary to strengthen health education on TB prevention and control among floating population in a way that they like.
