Analysis of the epidemiological characteristics of other infectious diarrhea in Dazhu County from 2017 to 2023
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of other infectious diarrhea in Dazhu County from 2017 to 2023,and to provide data reference for the development of prevention and control measures for other infectious diarrhea.Methods All reported cards of other infectious diarrhea cases in Dazhu County of Sichuan Province from 2017 to 2023 were exported from the Chinese Information System for Disease Control and Prevention.WPS 2019 and SPSS 21.0 software were used to analyze the trinomial distribution characteristics of other infectious diarrhea.Chi-square or Chi-square trend test was used to compare the rates,and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results A total of 1 695 cases of other infectious diarrhea were reported in Dazhu County from 2017 to 2023.The average annual reported incidence was 27.76/105.The reported incidence rate showed a decreasing trend in all years(x2rend=82.959,P<0.001).Cases were reported in every month of the year,with a peak in August to September in 2023 and a peak in December to March of the next year in other years.Cases were reported in 31 townships in the county,and the top 3 reported cases were Oujia Town,Zhonghua Town and Zhuyang/Baita Street.The incidence was mainly in scattered children aged 0-3 years old.The incidence of males was higher than that of females.Conclusions From 2017 to 2023,other infectious diarrhea cases in Dazhu County were more common in scattered children aged 0-3 years old.The prevention and control of other infectious diarrhea should be further strengthened,and the health education work should be strengthened for parents of infants and young children,teachers in kindergartens and child-care workers.At the same time,etiological monitoring should be strengthened,timely diagnosis and treatment should be conducted,and vaccination should be promoted,in order to reduce morbidity.
