Resistance of culex quinquefasciatus larvae to three insecticides in Danba County of Ganzi Prefecture
Objective To investigate the resistance of culex quinquefasciatus to three commonly used insecticides of Danba County in Ganzi Prefecture,to provide a guide for the rational insecticides application. Methods The resistance of culex quinquefasciatus to dichlorvos, propoxur, deltamethrin from four representative townships of Danba County was measured by larval immersion,as recommended by the national standard. The LC50 values and 95%CI of culex quinquefasciatus larvae against three insecticides were obtained, and the degree of resistance was compared. Results The LC50 and the corresponding 95%CI of dichlorvos, propoxur, deltamethrin for culex quinquefasciatus larvae were 0.4062(0.3325-0.5084)mg/L,0.1737(0.1143-0.2659)mg/L,0.0031(0.0010-0.0206)mg/L,respectively.The culex quinquefasciatus in Danba County of Ganzi Prefecture were sensitive to dichlorvos(RR:1.34)and propoxur(RR:0.85),and low resistant to deltamethrin(RR:3.65).Conclusions The culex quinquefasciatus in Danba County of Ganzi Prefecture has developed some resistance to deltamethrin.Pyrethroid insecticides should be reduced in mosquito control, alternated by sensitive insecticides,to control the development of resistance.
