Analysis on the association between behavioral lifestyle and chronic disease comorbidities in Fucheng District of Mianyang City
Objective To understand the prevalence of chronic disease and multi-morbidity,and the distribution of related factors of behavior and lifestyle among residents in Fucheng of Mianyang City,and to explore the risk factors affecting chronic disease and multi-morbidity of different genders,so as to provide scientific basis for the development of corresponding strategies and measures for the prevention and control of chronic disease,and also to provide new ideas for prevention and control of subsequent classification and precise intervention.Methods A social factor survey was conducted from October 2022 to May 2023 in Fucheng District of Mianyang for permanent residents,a questionnaires was used to collect information on general demographic characteristics and behavioral habits of the respondents,as well as to obtain physical measurements and laboratory test results.The distribution of demographic characteristics and behavior and lifestyles was described by using the composition ratio,the difference in the distribution of general demographic characteristics and behavior and lifestyles between male and female with chronic disease and multi-morbidity was analyzed by using the x2 test,and the behavior and lifestyle factors affecting chronic disease and multi-morbidity of male and female were analyzed by using multi-factorial logistic regression.The test level α was 0.05.Results The prevalence of chronic disease multi-morbidity among Fucheng residents of Mianyang City was 19.8%,and the difference between the prevalence of chronic disease and multi-morbidity among males and females was statistically significant(x2=10.360,P=0.001).Smoking,exposure to secondhand smoke,alcohol consumption,and sleep duration ≤6h/d,salt intake>6 g/d,cooking oil intake>25 g/d,and overweight or obesity were the significant risk factors of multi-morbidity affecting men with chronic diseases(all P<0.05).Smoking,exposure to secondhand smoke,sedentary time>4h/d,and sleep time ≤6 h/d,edible salt intake>6 g/d,red meat intake>100 g/d,and being overweight or obese were significant risk factors affecting the development of chronic disease and co-morbidity in women(all P<0.05).Conclusions The prevalence of chronic disease and multi-morbidity was high among Fucheng residents of Mianyang.We should pay attention to chronic disease and multi-morbidities,the exploration of multi-morbidity patterns should be strengthened,with early intervention,precise policymaking,innovative health education and health promotion initiatives to continually improve the health of residents and the quality of chronic disease multi-morbidity management for community residents.
