Epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis C in Qijiang District of Chongqing from 2018 to 2023
Objective To analyze the incidence and epidemic characteristics of viral hepatitis C(hereinafter referred to as hepatitis C)in Qijiang District of Chongqing from 2018 to 2023,and to provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of hepatitis C.Methods The reported cases of hepatitis C in Qijiang District of Chongqing from 2018 to 2023 were collected and the distribution of hepatitis C cases in three periods was analyzed.Excel 2013 was used to sort and summarize the relevant data,and SPSS 26.0 was used for statistical analysis.The rate or percentage of counting data was expressed,Chi-square test was used for comparison of inter-group rates and trend Chi-square test was used for trend analysis.Test level was α=0.05.Results From 2018 to 2023,a total of 663 cases of hepatitis C were reported in Qijiang District of Chongqing,with an annual average incidence of 13.84/105.The incidence was on the rise,with the highest incidence in 2023(28.83/105).Every year distributed popular.The largest number of cases was reported in Gunan Street(120 cases),followed by Wenlong Street(111 cases).The ratio of male to female sex was 1.73∶1,and the incidence of male was higher than that of female.The age of onset was 40-59 years old.In terms of occupation distribution,farmers accounted for the highest proportion of cases(53.24%),followed by housework and unemployed people(24.74%).Conclusions From 2018 to 2023,the reported incidence of hepatitis C in Qijiang District of Chongqing was on the rise.Early detection and treatment of hepatitis C are the focus of future work.At the same time,it is necessary to improve the diagnosis and treatment level of medical institutions,strengthen the hepatitis C monitoring and screening in high-incidence areas and key populations,strengthen health education,and improve the public,especially the awareness rate of prevention and treatment of hepatitis C among key populations.
