摘要
文本以英语演讲课程为例,探讨了在高校利用ChatGPT和Sora辅助英语演讲教学的可能性.英语演讲是英语专业的专业核心课程,该课程以语言为手段,以交际为目的,注重交际过程中对学习者听说读写等能力的培养,因此,该课程更加需要个性化教学设计.个性化是ChatGPT和Sora生成式人工智能模型的显著优势,对语言教学具有重要意义.经过两轮教学和反思,研究发现ChatGPT和Sora在教师教学创新与个性化教学资源拓展、培养学生批判性思维、设计人机合作学习活动,以及建立基于AI的学生和教师评价共同体等方面都发挥着重要作用.
Abstract
This article explores the possibility of using ChatGPT and Sora to assist English public speaking teaching in universities.English public speaking is a core course for English majors,which uses language as a means and communication as the purpose,emphasizing the cultivation of learners'abilities in listening,speaking,reading,and writing during the communication process.Therefore,this course requires more personalized teaching design.And personalization is a significant advantage of ChatGPT and Sora's big data models,which is of great significance for language teaching.Through two rounds of teaching and reflections,the study found that ChatGPT and Sora play important roles in teacher teaching innovation and personalized teaching resource expansion,cultivating student critical thinking,designing human-machine cooperative learning activities,and establishing an AI based community for student and teacher evaluation.
