Study on Improving English Reading Ability from the Perspective of Pragmatic Presupposition
Taking the improvement of English reading ability as the research object and purpose of the study,the paper points out the interdependence of context and pragmatic presupposition in view of the linguistic phenomenon that English discourse reading comprehension is constrained by specific context.At the same time,by analyzing and processing of the information presented or contained in the presupposition,the theme and author's intention of different types of discourse can be accurately understood and grasped.On this basis,this paper also proposes that the profound analysis and comprehensive grasp of the intrinsic relationship between pragmatic presupposition and context,as well as discourse are the key methods and fundamental strategies for effectively capturing the author's intention,excavating discourse information,and improving English reading ability.
