With the development of rural tourism,rural B&B comes into being.This paper first summarizes the problems existing in the current development of rural homestays,and then,with narratology theory as the starting point,puts forward the narrative transformation and design strate-gy of rural homestays as narrative carriers from three aspects:the integration and extraction of nar-rative words,the organization of narrative structure and the expression of narrative forms.Finally,taking the narrative design practice of Xilu Zhangyi rural homestay in Jiuhua mountain scenic area as a case study,this paper discusses the application of the narrative design method of rural home-stay in architectural transformation and design,providing new ideas and research directions for the sustainable development of rural homestay and rural tourism in theory and practice.
