Research on the Spatial Form Evolution of Traditional Folk Houses in Northeast China Based on Spatial Syntax
Northeastern residential houses are an important part of Chinese architectural culture, which embodies the survival wisdom and creative talent of ancestors in the northeast region of China. In this study, this paper takes the monolithic and collegiate dwellings in northeast China as the main research objects, and constructs a convex spatial model and a topological model by using the theory of spatial syntax.Meanwhile, this paper also uses four quantitative indexes, namely, the integration degree, the selectivity, the connectivity value, and the total depth value in the Depthmap software,to analyze the spatial morphology evolution and the causes of the northeast folk dwellings. This research explains that the spatial evolution of residential houses in northeast China is influenced by a combination of regional, economic, practical and functional factors.
