Research on Selecting Exit Sign Information for Expressway Hub Interchange Based on Information Importance
There are phenomena such as information overload and chaotic guidance in the interchange exit signs of highway hubs,and there is a certain randomness and personal preference in the selection process of sign information,which results in the selection of information not being able to maximize the satisfaction of the driver's driving and travel guidance needs.In order to better meet the driver's travel and guidance needs,while ensuring the simplicity and aesthetics of the entire sign layout,the information factors are analysed and an information importance model is established to research the se-lection of layout information for expressway hub interchange exit signs.Through case analysis and verification,it is concluded that the characteristic factors involved include traffic volume characteris-tics,economic characteristics,administrative level characteristics,and tourism travel characteristics,which meet the feature requirements for selecting information importance factors.This plan trans-forms qualitative problems into quantitative problems for analysis,which helps designers scientifically set up hub interchange exit traffic signs,improve the practicality of hub interchange traffic signs,ef-fectively ensure highway driving safety,and reduce traffic accidents.
