In order to study the influence of curing temperature and sulfate content on the strength characteristics of cement stabilized macadam materials in desert areas with large temperature differ-ences,based on the second phase of the S21 Urumqi-Altai Expressway project, combined with on-site research, the temperature and salt content of the cement stabilized macadam base were obtained, and the strength tests were carried out under the conditions of curing temperature of 10,20,30,40 ℃,and sulfate content of 0%,0.5%,1.0%,2.0%,respectively.And the hydration products and microstruc-ture of the specimens were analyzed. The results show that as the curing temperature increases, the hydration reaction rate of cement stabilized macadam material accelerates, and the amount of hydra-tion products such as calcium hydroxide and hydrated calcium silicate increases significantly. The strength performance of the specimens is enhanced. When the sulfate content in the mixture is 0.5%,the degradation effect on the strength performance of the specimen is weak. When the sulfate content reaches 1.0%,the amount of corrosion products such as ettringite increases significantly, and the strength performance of the specimen sharply decreases.
