Experimental Study on the Spanwise Coherence Function of the Buffeting Force of the Double-sided Box Π-shaped Beams
To study the reasonable buffeting force spanwise coherence function model of the double-si-ded box Π-shaped beams of a large-span cable-stayed bridge,a pressure measurement test was conduc-ted on a rigid segment model in a wind tunnel turbulent flow field,and the experimental values of the spanwise coherence function of the buffeting force for three different aspect ratios of double-sided box Π-shaped beams were obtained.The experimental values were fitted using the spanwise coherence function model of three types of buffeting force and adopting nonlinear least squares method,and com-pared with the spanwise coherence function of buffeting force provided by wind-resistant specification.The results show that the experimental values of the spanwise coherence function of the buffeting force of the double-sided box Π-shaped beams can be well fitted by three types spanwise coherence function models of the buffeting forces,and the Jakobsen exponential coherence function model has the best fitting effect.The spanwise coherence function of the buffeting force of the double-sided box girder is generally greater than that of the results given by the wind-resistant specification.Using the results given by the wind-resistant specification to calculate the buffeting response of the double-sided box Π-shaped beams of a large-span cable-stayed bridge may result in underestimation.The spanwise coherence function of the buffeting force of the double-sided box Π-shaped beams obtained in this pa-per can provide a reference for the buffeting calculation of the main beam of this type of section.
