Research on the Stability of High Fill Slope Under the Combined Action of Rainfall and Earthquake
In order to study the combined effect of rainfall and earthquake on the stability of high fill slopes,a composite analysis was conducted using three main factors with rainfall duration, rainfall in-tensity,and seismic acceleration.Stability analysis calculations were conducted using GeoStudio nu-merical software, and the sensitivity of the factors was evaluated using orthogonal experimental meth-od.Research has shown that rainfall mainly affects the pore water pressure of shallow soil on slopes, and the impact of rainfall intensity and time on high fill slopes is limited.Earthquake action has a sig-nificant impact on slope stability, and the slope stability factor decreases with the increase of earth-quake peak acceleration.Under the combined action of rainfall and earthquake, the stability of the fill slope is significantly smaller than that of the single effect of rainfall or earthquake, and the combined effect is significant.Among the factors affecting slope stability, earthquake action has the greatest im-pact,followed by rainfall time and rainfall intensity.
