Differences and Repeatabilities of Quantitative Characters of Prunus sibirica Superior Clones
With 66 Siberia apricot superior clones as the materials, from Prunus.sibirica germplasm resources garden of Beipiao Forest Tree Breeding Center, Liaoning province, 29 quantitative characters were observed. The variation coefficients and repeatabilities were analyzed. The clones were classified by using the method of combining principal component analysis with Q cluster analysis. The study was to find out the differences and repeatabilities of quantitative characters in P.sibirica clones, and evaluate the clones. The results showed that the variation coefficients of 25 quantitative characters were higher than 10%,that of fruit yield per crown projection area was the largest, up to 86%, and those of single fruit weight, single kernel weight, single almond weight were 37%, 25% and 22%, respectively. The repeatabilities of quantitative characters in fruit, kernel, almond and flower were higher, while those of crown width and stem diameter were lower.66 P.sibirica clones were divided into 11 categories, and their features in quantitative character were analyzed. The economic traits of P.sibirica clones were significantly different, and the potential of selecting and breeding high yield and quality varieties was high.Single fruit weight, single kernel weight, single almond weight, length of young shoot, width of young shoot, petiole length, petiole width, tree height and stem diameter could be the main basis of the distinction between P.sibirica clones. The quantitative classification of P.sibirica clones provided a reference for evaluating the germplasm resources and selecting and breeding ideal varieties in Siberia apricot.
