Correlation between dermoscopic and histopathologic features of actinic keratosis
Objective To investigate the correlation between dermoscopic and histopathological features of actinic keratosis(AK).Methods The present study collected a total of 37 patients with clinically diagnosed AK at the first hospital of shanxi medical university. All patients underwent both dermoscopy examinations and histopathological examinations, with histopathological results serving as the reference standard for diagnosing AK.Subsequently, the diagnostic performance of dermoscopy in identifying AK was further assessed, focusing on its sensitivity and specificity. In addition,The consistency of dermoscopic and histopathological grades and the correlation between dermoscopic features and histopathological types were further discussed. Results The dermoscopy exhibited a sensitivity of 85.19%and specificity of 80.00%for diagnosing AK.There was moderate consistency between dermoscopic and histopathological grades(P<0.05).The distribution of dermoscopic features did not show any significant variation across different histopathological types(P>0.05).Conclusions The dermoscopy exhibits high diagnostic efficiency in AK and holds certain value for the grading diagnosis of AK..However,no significant correlation has been identified between the dermoscopic features and histopathological types in AK.
