Objective To explore the prescription regularity of Professor Qian Wenyan,a renowned Chinese medicine practitioner,in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris based on data mining.Methods This study compiled a prescription database of psoriasis vulgaris treatments administered by Professor Qian Wenyan at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital from June 2019 to December 2020.The frequency,efficacy,properties,and channel tropism of prescription herbals were analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2016 software.High-frequency herbals were subjected to cluster analysis using SPSS Statistics 26.0,while association rules of herbals were analyzed using SPSS Modeler 18.0.A comprehensive analysis was finally conducted to identify the commonly used single herbals and herbal pairs in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris,as well as to explore the prescription regularity.Results The study encompassed a total of 82 prescriptions for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris,involving 134 traditional Chinese medicines.The most commonly used Chinese medicinal herbs were Herba Scutellariae Barbatae and Rehmannia Glutinosa Libosch,with the highest proportion attributed to herbals for heat-clearing and blood-cooling purposes.The medicinal flavors predominantly exhibited bitter and sweet,while the medicinal properties primarily manifested as coldness;the channel tropism of herbals was mainly focused on the liver meridian.Herbal cluster analysis resulted in three distinct clustering prescriptions.Conclusion The primary approach employed by Professor Qian Wenyan in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris focuses on"treating from blood,heat-clearing and blood-cooling".The Professor Qian skillfully utilizes heat-clearing and blood-cooling herbals,employing a combination of sweet and bitter flavors to effectively alleviate heat while simultaneously nourishing yin.
