Objective To construct an oral health education program based on Teach-back and explore its application effect in patients with oral implantation. Methods From January 2020 to January 2023,104 patients with chronic peri-odontitis who underwent implant repair treatment in the stomatology department of the outpatient department of Shaoxing People's Hospital were divided into a control group(52 cases)and a Teach-back group(52 cases)by random number table method. The control group received traditional oral health education, and the Teach-back group implemented Teach-back oral health education and continued intervention for 6 months. The oral health behavior, periodontal status[modified sulcus bleeding index(mSBI),modified plaque index(mPLI),probing depth(PD)],the incidence of peri-implantitis and the score of oral health impact profile-14(OHIP-14)were compared between the two groups. Results In the Teach-back group,48 patients completed the study,49 cases completed the study in the cotrol group. In the Teach-back group, the behavioral score of"gargling after eating, using dental floss or flush device, regular tooth cleaning and pasteurized brushing method"was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);mSBI,mPLI and PD were(0.82±0.14)points,(0.80±0.21)points and(2.01±0.66)mm,respectively,which were lower than the control group(1.03±0.24)points,(0.91±0.23)pointsand(2.40±0.77)mm(P<0.05).The incidence of peri-implant in-flammation was 2.08%(1/48),which was lower than 16.33%(8/49)of the control group(P<0.05).The score of OHIP-14 was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Teaching back oral health education has great significance for improving oral health behavior and periodontal health, and preventing peri-implant inflammation.
