Effect of Filler Properties on Electrostatic Separation Efficiency of FCC Slurry
In order to analyze the factors affecting the removal of solid content in fluid catalytic cracking(FCC)slurry by electrostatic separation,a self-made electrostatic separator test device is used to study the effect of filler material and diameter on the removal efficiency of catalyst solid particles in FCC slurry.Combined with numerical simulation, the influence of packing diameter and material on the electric field strength at the packing contact point is analyzed. The results show that the separation efficiency of solid particles in oil slurry decreases with the increase of packing diameter.Zirconia filler has the highest separation efficiency, and glass filler has the worst separation effect. The electric field intensity at the contact point of the filler increases with the increase of the filler diameter and the relative dielectric constant of the filler.Among the physicochemical parameters of different fillers, the relative dielectric constant of fillers plays a major role in the process of electrostatic separation of solid particles in oil slurry.
