Discussion on Co-Disposal of"Three Muds"in Coal-to-Hydrogen Gasification
A refinery intends to send the scum/sludge and activated sludge from the sewage treatment plant to the coal-to-hydrogen gasification to achieve the resource utilization of"three muds".The designed annual processing capacity is 42,000 tons/year for floating sludge/oil sludge and 21,000 tons/year for activated sludge.Based on blending ratio experiments, the blending ratio of floating sludge/oil sludge and activated sludge should not exceed 12%when mixed with water-coal slurry.According to calculations, after project implementation, there are no significant changes in the feed and discharge of the unit before and after modification. The sulfur content increases by approximately 24 tons/year after modification. The amount of waste slag generated from co-burning floating sludge/oil sludge and activated sludge increases by about 2,000 tons/year compared to before modification. The annual energy savings are equivalent to 882.18 tons of standard coal, and carbon emissions can be reduced by 399.41 tons per year, demonstrating significant environmental benefits.
