Genetic experiment is the core experimental course for students majoring in biological sci-ences in the higher normal universities.Under the background of education and teaching reform and curriculum ideological and political education in the new era,it is necessary to comprehensively in-tegrate the ideological and political education into the teaching process of genetics experiment,which is of great significance to cultivate students' basic scientific research quality and innovative practical abili-ty.This paper introduced the methods and paths of ideological and political teaching in genetics experi-ment course,and explored and practiced the ideological and political element mining,curriculum sys-tem optimization,and construction of ideological and political database,in the hope of laying founda-tion for cultivating excellent middle school biology teachers.
