Comprehensive experimental design of photocatalytic oxidation of NO by bismuth oxychloride nanoplate microspheres
As a type of experiment teaching,comprehensive experiment has become an important part of chemistry experiment teaching.Herein,photocatalytic oxidation of NO by bismuth oxychloride(BiOCl)nanoplate microspheres was designed as a comprehensive experiment.BiOCl nanoplate mi-crospheres were synthesized by solvothermal method using ethylene glycol/water mixture as solvent,which were well characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-Vis DRS).Furthermore,the effect of solvent on the structure of photocatalytic materials and the performance of photocatalytic oxidation of NO was investigated.This comprehensive experimental process is complete,and the experiment content covers the synthesis of materials,characterization and performance evaluation,therefore it is highly compre-hensive.It is helpful to train the comprehensive experimental skills of students and cultivate the con-sciousness of scientific research and innovation of students.
