Practical Review and Solutions to the Problems of Fostering Virtue Through Physical Education in Colleges from the Perspective of Embodied Moral Education Theory
Physical education encompasses significant moral values.Embodied moral education theory provides crucial theoretical support for colleges to implement the activities of fostering virtue through physical education.Adopting embodied moral education theory as research perspective,this study reveals that the integration of physical education and moral education and the connotation exploration are not in-depth in college physical education;the educational process in curriculum lays more emphasis on skill teaching and less on the cultivation of moral cognition;the absence of moral conflicts weakens ethical behavior in practice;and campus sports culture lacks a prominent focus on moral education,resulting in a deficiency of moral emotion.It suggests that colleges should deepen the integration of curriculum ideology and politics in physical education,and enhance students'moral cognition through embodied physical education;dig into the empowerment of physical education practice,and regulate ethical conducts through physical activities;and strengthen the cultural belongingness of physical education,and cultivate ethical sentiments within it,thereby fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education in colleges and nurturing new generations capable of shouldering the responsibility of national rejuvenation.
