Factors influencing spinal health status of children aged 6-12 years in Nanchong City
Objective To explore the factors affecting spinal health among children aged 6-12 years in Nanchong City,and to analyze the path and magnitude of each influencing factor using AMOS software.Methods A stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 528 children aged 6-12 years in Nanchong City from September 2021 to September 2022,and the factors influencing their spinal health status were investigated and analyzed.The principal component analysis method was employed to extract relevant potential variables,and then a structural equation model was constructed to analyze the influencing factors.Results The total score of spine health in the children aged 6-12 years in Nanchong City was(63.48±14.23)points,pain intensity(19.12±5.93)points,spine posture(22.71±5.53)points,and daily activity level(21.65±4.87)points.The direct impact of abnormal posture on spinal health was-2.765,the direct impact of changes in spinal status on spinal health-7.232,and the direct impact of impaired spinal function on spinal health-2.402.Conclusion Abnormal posture,altered spinal status and impaired spinal function have direct negative impacts on the children's spinal health;moreover,changes in spinal status have the greatest impact on the children's spinal health.
