Indoor PM2.5 concentration and its influencing factors in hotels of four cities in Hunan Province,2021
Objective To analyze the indoor PM2.5 concentration and its affecting factors in hotels of four cities in Hunan Province, and to provide a reference basis for improving indoor air quality. Methods A survey was conducted in 67 hotels in Liuyang City,Xiangtan City,Hengyang City, and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province in 2021.General situation data were collected, and indoor air indicators were monitored.Non-parametric tests were used for inter-group comparison, and a multiple linear regression model was employed to analyze the influencing factors. Results The average indoor PM2.5 concentrations in three-star and above hotels, hotels below three-star level and budget hotels were 79 μg/m3,56 μg/m3 and 51 µg/m3 respectively. The overall over-standard rate of the hotels was 34.20%,with the maximum concentration over standard of 5.62 times. The multiple linear regression model showed that temperature, operational room area, recent refurbishment within the last two years and humidity were the main factors affecting indoor PM2.5 concentration in three-star and above hotels.Humidity and wind speed were the main factors for affecting indoor PM2.5 concentration in hotels below three-star level, and operational room area and temperature for budget hotels. Conclusion Over-standard indoor PM2.5 concentration existed in the monitored hotels in four cities in Hunan Province in 2021,with the highest average concentration in three-star and above hotels.Different hotels show varied primary factors influencing indoor PM2.5 concentration.
