Objective To investigate the effect of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae positivity of male semen on the development of embryos in fertilizationcycles of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)recipients.Methods A total of 100 infertile men who received IVF-ET from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects, and their semen was collected and cultured and detected by mycoplasma in semen.According to the detection results, they were divided into positive group and negative group. All patients were treated with IVF-ET,and their general data and semen determination were collected, and their pregnancy and embryo development were followed up.Results Of the 100 male patients,24(24.00%)were positive for mycoplasma in semen. In the positive group, the sperm density was(46±5)×106/ml,the total number of sperm was(116±15)×106/ejaculation,the forward movement(PR)was(42±5)%,and the normal sperm morphology rate was(2.4±0.6)%,all of which were lower than those of the negative group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=10.199,11.387,6.578,4.953,all P<0.01).The rate of high-quality embryos in the positive group was(25±4)%,and the number of transferred embryos was(1.7±0.4),both of which were lower than those in the negative group, with statistical significance(t=12.000,3.208,P<0.05).Conclusion Male infertility patients undergoing IVF-ET have no obvious influence on the pregnancy outcome of IVF-ET,but positive semen mycoplasma will reduce the rate of high-quality embryos and the number of transferred embryos.
