Application of amplitude integrated electroencephalography combined with nuclear magnetic resonance imaging in the assessment and prediction of neurobehavioral development in preterm infants with brain injury
Objective To analyze the application value of amplitude integrated electroencephalogram(aEEG)combined with nuclear magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in the assessment and prediction of neurobehavioral development of preterm infants with brain injury.Methods A total of 90 premature infants with brain injury hospitalized in Affiliated Hospital of Putian University from September 2020 to September 2022 were selected and set as the observation group.Another 90 premature infants without brain injury who underwent physical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected and set as the healthy group.The scores of aEEG parameters,total score,magnetic resonance brain development total maturity score(TMS)subitem score and total score were compared between the two groups.The observation group was followed up for 3 months.The scores of aEEG parameters,total score,TMS subitem score and total score were compared between the good neurodevelopment group and the poor neurodevelopment group.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value of aEEG+MRI for neurodysplasia in preterm infants with brain injury.Results The scores of each parameter and total score of aEEG in the observation group were lower than those in the healthy group(P<0.05).The scores of TMS parameters and total scores in the observation group were lower than those in the healthy group(P<0.05).The scores of each parameter and total score of aEEG in neurodysplasia group were lower than those in neurodysplasia group(P<0.05).The scores of parameters and total scores of TMS in the neurodysplasia group were lower than those in the neurodysplasia group(P<0.05).The sensitivity(94.3%)and specificity(92.5%)of aEEG+MRI in predicting neurodysplasia were higher than those of aEEG(80.3%,78.2%)and MRI(81.6%,79.9%)(P<0.05).Conclusion aEEG combined with MRI can improve the predictive value of neurobehavioral development in preterm infants with brain injury,and has important reference value for condition evaluation and prognosis evaluation of preterm infants with brain injury,which is worthy of promotion and reference.
