Objective Analysis of the value of colour Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of carotid atherosclerotic plaque-related cerebral infarction. Methods Fifty patients with cerebral infarction admitted to our hospital between September 2021 and June 23 were selected as the observation group of this study, and 50 patients who were admitted to the hospital to undergo health checkups during the same period were randomly selected as the control group.Colour Doppler ultrasonography was carried out on the patients in both groups, and the distribution of carotid atherosclerotic plaques and their types, carotid artery stenosis, left carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT),blood flow parameters, etc.,were then compared in both groups, and blood flow parameters were compared. Results The plaque detection rate in the observation group was 68.0%,which was higher than 34.0%that in the control group(P<0.05).And there was no significant difference in the distribution of plaques between the two groups(P>0.05).The plaque types in the observation group were dominated by soft plaques and mixed plaques, whereas hard plaques predominated in the control group(x2=27.506,P<0.05).The stenosis rate in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.001).And the left carotid intima-media-medial thickness(IMT)of the control group was higher than that of the observation group[(1.12±0.31)mm vs.(0.95±0.12)mm,t=3.616,P=0.001],while peak flow velocity(PSV)[(69.3±15.3)cm/s vs.(75.8±9.2)cm/s,t=2.516,P=0.012],end-diastolic flow velocity(EDV)[(23.6±2.1)cm/s vs.(20.1±6.5)cm/s,t=3.617,P=0.001]and resistance index(RI)(0.65±0.26 vs.0.78±0.12,t=3.210,P=0.002)were lower than those of the observation group. Conclusion Colour Doppler ultrasound has high clinical value in the diagnosis of carotid atherosclerotic plaque-associated cerebral infarction.
