Objective To design an information-based appointment system capable of fully utilizing resources in situations where daytime chemotherapy resources are scarce.Methods By constructing a chemotherapy duration rule database and introducing the greedy algorithm,the issue of non-uniform time slot appointments in healthcare resource scheduling is addressed.Results Through the daytime chemotherapy resource reservation system,the chemotherapy schedule of the next working day could be automatically allocated,and the efficiency and accuracy of the reservation could be improved.Conclusion The daytime chemotherapy resource appointment system,based on the greedy algorithm and rule database,can assist hospitals in fully utilizing limited resources.This enables more cancer patients to receive timely services and further enhances patient healthcare experiences.
