Objective To investigate the correlation between ultrasonic parameters and brain natriuretic peptide and homocysteine in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods The subjects of this study were 100 patients with chronic heart failure enrolled in our hospital from April 2021 to April 2022,and they were selected as the diseased group. In addition,100 healthy physical examination subjects who attended physical examination in our hospital at the same time were selected as the healthy control group of this study. After that, the cardiac function[(left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),NT-proBNP and homocysteine(Hcy)levels]were measured and compared between the two groups.Data were analyzed and associations of Hey with LVEDD,LVEF,and NT-proBNP were evaluated in patients with chronic heart failure. Results Compared with the healthy control group, the levels of NT-proBNP,Hcy and LVEDD in the sick group were higher(P<0.05).The level of LVEF in patients with disease was lower(P<0.05).The levels of NT-proBNP,Hcy and LVEDD in grade Ⅳ chronic heart failure patients were higher than those in grade Ⅲ and grade Ⅱ,while the levels of NT-proBNP,Hcy and LVEDD in grade Ⅲ were higher than those in grade Ⅱ(P<0.05).The LVEF level of patients with grade Ⅳ chronic heart failure was lower than that of patients with grade Ⅲ and gradeⅡ,while the LVEF level of patients with grade Ⅲ was lower than that of patients with grade Ⅱ(P<0.05).The results of Pearson correlation analysis were as follows:Among various indicators in patients with chronic heart failure,Hcy showed a positive correlation with NT-proBNP and LVEDD(r=0.723,0.844,P<0.05),while Hcy showed a negative correlation with LVEF(r=-0.612,P<0.05).Conclusion Serum NT-proBNP,Hcy and LVEDD levels increased with the severity of cardiac function deterioration in patients with chronic heart failure, while LVEF levels decreased with the severity of cardiac function deterioration in patients with chronic heart failure.
