Objective To analyze the early diagnostic value of multi parameter magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)for prostate cancer. Methods A total of 61 suspected prostate cancer patients were selected as the study subjects, with examination time from March 2020 to August 2023.Ultrasound and multiparametric MRI examinations were performed on all patients, and the surgical pathological results were used as the gold standard to compare the disease diagnosis results of the two methods. The diagnostic efficacy(sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value)of ultrasound and multiparametric MRI examinations were compared, and the consistency between multiparametric MRI and pathological diagnosis results was analyzed. Results Multi parameter MRI detected 35 cases of true positive and 23 cases of true negative, with 1 case of false positive and 2 cases of false negative. The corresponding cases on ultrasound examination were 27,16,8,and 10.Compared to ultrasound examination, multi parameter MRI has higher sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value, with significant inter-group differences(P<0.05);The diagnostic results of multi parameter MRI are highly consistent with the surgical pathological results(kappa=0.898).Conclusion Multi parameter MRI can accurately diagnose early prostate cancer, with significant advantages over ultrasound diagnosis, and can be applied.
