Objective To analyze the relationship between apolipoprotein(apo)A1/apoB ratio, homocysteine(Hcy)and atherosclerosis in patients with hyperlipidemia. Methods A total of 70 patients with hyperlipidemia treated in the hospital and 40 healthy controls were enrolled as disease group and control group between March 2021 and March 2023.The levels of peripheral blood apoA1/apoB ratio and Hcy were detected.According to carotid intima-media thickness(IMT)by carotid color ultrasound, patients in disease group were divided into normal group and atherosclerosis group,apoA1/apoB ratio and Hcy level in the two groups were compared. The correlation between apoA1/apoB ratio,Hcy level and IMT was analyzed by Spearman analysis. Results The apoA1/apoB ratio in disease group was lower than that in control group, while Hcy level was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).IMT and atherosclerosis rate in disease group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The apoA1/apoB ratio in atherosclerosis group was lower than that in normal group, while Hcy level was higher than that in normal group(P<0.05).The results of Spearman analysis showed that apoA1/apoB ratio was negatively correlated with IMT(r=-0.523,P<0.05),while Hcy level was positively correlated with it(r=0.630,P<0.05).Conclusion The apoA1/apoB ratio and Hcy level are abnormal in patients with hyperlipidemia, which are significantly correlated with atherosclerosis.
