Objective To analyze the application effect of thin-layer spiral CT and abdominal X-ray in the diagnosis of acute intestinal obstruction. Methods From July 2022 to July 2023,70 patients with acute intestinal obstruction treated in Xingan County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were included in the study. All patients underwent thin-layer spiral CT and abdominal X-ray examination. The effects of the two examination methods were compared and analyzed. The evaluation index was the diagnostic experience effect of the two diagnosis methods, the accuracy rate of the two diagnostic methods, the coincidence rate of the diagnosis of obstruction site and the diagnostic efficiency. Results The X-ray operation complexity score was higher, and the thin-layer spiral CT comfort and image clarity score were higher. The overall diagnostic accuracy of thin-layer spiral CT for mechanical intestinal obstruction, paralytic intestinal obstruction, vascular intestinal obstruction, strangulated intestinal obstruction is higher than that of X-ray.The overall coincidence rate of thin-layer spiral CT for obstruction sites such as colon, small intestine and ileocecal region was higher than that of X-ray.The missed diagnosis rate and misdiagnosis rate of thin-layer spiral CT examination were 0 and 2.9%,respectively,which were lower than 17.1%and 17.1%of X-ray examination(P<0.05).Conclusion Application of thin-layer spiral CT in patients with acute intestinal obstruction can improve the diagnostic site coincidence rate and diagnostic accuracy, and the comfort and image clarity of thin-layer spiral CT are better, reducing the incidence of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, but the operation is more complex.
