Objective To investigate the feasibility of capillary centrifugation for identification of Duffy blood group in patients after transfusion. Methods Inpatients with a recent history of blood transfusion and Duffy antibodies detected, reticulocytes were obtained by capillary separation method. Results After capillary centrifugation, the patient's direct antiglobulin test(DAT)was negative, and Duffy phenotype was Fy(a+b-),which was consistent with the result of antibody identification. Conclusion The capillary separation technique can be used to detect antigen in serum with IgG reagent.
